Samsung is quickly becoming the best mobile manufacturer globally with some of the best mobile designs under the belt. I was recently looking for a entry level phone that would cost me somewhere around 6K bucks and provide me good sound quality and QWERTY keypad.
I was thoroughly confused between Nokia X2 for sound quality and Nokia C6 for QWERTY keypad, but then I found Samsung C3222 and I bought it instantly. The market price for Samsung C3222 is 4500/- (Mobile Store)
Samsung C3222 is available in three colors, white black and black/pink. I have the white one and believe me that's the best color to choose because black looks very standard and does not show off. The black/pink combination looks very female-type so white is certainly the best choice.
The QWERTY keys are good and since this one has Dual Standby feature you can use two SIM cards. Although, when you are on SIM 1 and someone is calling you on SIM 2 then that person will receive a message that your SIM 2 is currently switched off.
However, when you are not on call you can receive calls on both the numbers. Another not so good thing about Samsung c3222 is the small screen.
The screen is relatively small and a lot of space is taken up by the Samsung logo on the front side. I think Samsung designers should have provided a bit bigger screen to the users. The multitasking feature is not that good as well but its good for a phone that comes at the price of an entry level phone. There is no 3G and Wi-Fi in it.
The good things are Dual Sim. It has a easy sim switch button on the side and you can switch the sim without taking them out and replacing them manually. While making the calls you can decide which sim you want to use so that's a very good feature for someone who uses two sim cards for better connectivity or to keep personal and professional calls on different numbers.
Users can customize the profile for each sim which includes profile ringtones, sms alert tones, themes, wallpapers and much more. The QWERTY keys are good at typing quickly but people with broad fingers might have problems with it as they are small.
On the back side it has a 1.3 megapixel camera and the photo clarity is pretty good to be honest. I previously had many Samsung phones with poor camera but this one is decent of all. It does not have LED flash and auto focus but if you stay still and click the pictures you wont regret the camera.
I love to carry my music with me and this cell phone comes with capacity of 8GB expandable memory. You can enjoy the music on the 3.5mm audio jack and to be honest the sound quality is awesome in the earphones as well as through external speakers.
The ringtones are quite loud and that will impress you. If you want a mobile phone with good sound quality then Samsung C3222 wont disappoint you at all. However, the most striking feature of the phone is the Optical trackpad which works like a magic when you move your fingers over it.
Currently, Blackberry Pearl, Blackberry 8520 and HTC Desire are few cell phones that have optical trackpad, but Samsung is providing optical trackpad for entry-level phones which is something you should not miss out. All I can say is that you need to use it to believe the way optical trackpad works on this phone.
You can customize the front screen and add options that you use frequently. The mobile is also good for people who are always hooked to their social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.
You can also enjoy chatting on MSN and Yahoo Messenger which comes pre-installed. You can also connect to Microsoft Exchange server through it.
To conclude, if you are looking for a cheap phone with good features like good sound quality, camera and QWERTY keypad and Dual Sim then this phone is the best phone in the market.
It might not be as loud as Chinese phones that are flooding the market and it might not have all the dazzling features that expensive cell phones might talk about, but Samsung C3222 is certainly for those who want a good cell phone to make calls, sms, music and camera and a bit of social networking.
Hence, we can say that it is a budget phone with some extra-ordinary features. Think about it.
