I am Samsung. I am die hard fan of Samsung products. I love Samsung. I am excited customer of Samsung. I am what I am. But am I a brand ambassador of Samsung? Yes! Few families trusted my recommendation. They are happy to blink eyes before Samsung Plano DNIeJr Television set and me too. Last year we purchased CTV29K44ML that is 29 inches Samsung Colour Television.
Samsung products offer value for money and peace of mind. First exposure with Samsung was circa 2000 when I purchased an assembled computer with Samsung HDD and Monitor. Are Samsung products fault free is the question as I never faced any problem with any Samsung products. To sell defective or wrong products is crime, believes Samsung CEO-Chairman Kun-Hee Lee(Source Economic Times).Being apostle, in 2008 I purchased Samsung washing machine(WA82TAN). We are going to add few more desktops to our creative facility and the first brand on top of mind will be Samsung.
Days of 1980’s: I am nostalgic about 1980’s when few people used to buy assembled TV sets. Cabinet, circuit plate, picture tube and soldering iron in hand! I recall it all. Our first TV was less to be watched and more to be repaired. Rukawat Ke Liye Khed Hai(Sorry for the inconvenience) and blank blue screen was frequent due to lost transmission.Have you ever aligned your antenna to the direction of TV tower?And was reception poor due to kites entangled in aluminum rods of your antenna? HaHa HoHo.
Watching Mr. Natwarlal, Lawaris, Khun Pasina, et all on monotonous Doordarshan at neighbors home was fun and frolic. Owning a television was a matter of pride. We also had community television set which was placed under the lock and key arrangement. Sony, Salora, Sharp, Videocon, Philips, Uptron, Onida were few dominant brands. And those good days of watching VCR and secluded entry in video parlors was real fun. Owners pride neighbors envy ….was creative bull horn, isn’t it? Slowly electronics markets revolutionized and we started getting quality products at affordable prices.
How we purchased Samsung CTV in 2007: Owning a television is still a matter of choice. Today, we have Samsung, Sony, Videocon and LG options. Others will have to make more noise. Malls, company showroom, reference, website, price comparison, offers and gifts and poky finance schemes makes the equation incomplete without you & ISR. How well you are treated by ISR also affects purchase decision. ISR means inside sales representative. Most sellers are bothered about cash at the end of the day. Customer gives those golden eggs. Picture in picture(PIP) of customers mind needs to be well understood for closing a deal. In my case Videocon and Sony lost to Samsung.
Prices:One corporate executive was caught stealing a Plasma TV from his hotel room, as he couldn’t resist the temptation. I suggest go as per your budget. MRP(Maximum Retail Price) is fuzzy in this industry. We have MOP i.e. Minimum Operating Price. Check out with at least two dealers unless you are not bothered about your purse.
Offers:Scratch cards, I just love them to hate them. Its purely gimmick which is designed to rob the customers. Samsung too had tried this scratch card fizzy deal. This time Samsung bettered with sure deal of cozy lemon set. Free home delivery is what everybody provides. Cheque payment was allowed and delivery was made even before realization of cheque. May be dealer was kind enough to me.
Problems with Samsung:Like with any other business Samsung is good in customer service. But being good is not good enough. For getting a product demonstrated it was catch me if you can game. Finally I caught them. Now I am addicted to Samsung CTV. Product registration coupon mailed doesn’t get any acknowledgement. Sales queries are promptly entertained but product complaints need merry go round telephonic follow-up. Do not any grievance pending AOD.
My TV – Product features: I am not very possessive about product features probably due to having traveled thru narrow lanes of printed circuits boards(PCB) with soldering iron rod in hand. I remember having designed PCB for college exhibition. That’s all about this technologies and absolutely nothing more.
Plug & Play setup, Turbo store, Channel auto store, Channel manual store, Channel sorting, Low noise amplifier, Blue screen melody, Digital Natural Image engine Junior, Sound equalizer, few games and adaptability to DVD player are few to remember features. Looks are sexy, flat and no flab. Sleep timer helps a lot. I am scared to use on timer or Alarm. Never used child lock but I think this facility is available.
Remote is very sturdy. It was dropped, misplaced, found and cause of tug of war. Pyar ke side effects………….so we have side effects of remote. News or Dance, Horror or love story, Laughter challenge or that Music show, Socio-political debate or that cookery show on and on, tussle continues. Program recording feature is what I miss in this model.
Yes, it’s my pride possession and a satisfied customer is saying I am Samsung.
