Samsung's washing machine broke within 10 days of regular usage, and their customer service has given us hell since then. Please avoid Samsung products!
One day, within 10 days of purchase of a brand new washing machine, we heard a noise and there was water all around the machine. We immediately called their support centre, and a technician was dispatched to our residence. He took a couple of pictures and left. Post that, we received a call and we were informed that we had to pay Rs 5000 to get it repaired. We asked why it broke, and why we should be paying - They just said that it was our fault, and we had to pay. No further explanation was provided. Even our queries about warranty were unanswered, and we were given some generic warranty link when we sought explanations.
After posting our concerns online, their support centre called us, and then said that their "technical team" had concluded that it was due to "customer issue". I asked them to provide additional details by what customer issue meant, and to share a report on how they concluded this, and no answer was provided - simply that we had to pay Rs 5000. Our asks for refund, replacement or report were completely ignored despite our repeated pleas to them.
The entire ordeal has been harrowing, and we have sent them a legal notice. We are now preparing to file a complaint in the consumer court, but my only advice to potential buyers is to read a little bit about Samsung's atrocious customer service(even MouthShut seems to be full of them) and avoid their products. They are like the mafia, and they provide zero information or support to customers. Can you believe it? Not even 10 days and already broken.
