Samsonite luggage was under a 3 year guarantee. When travelling, the bag was torn and badly damaged. The airline compensated $100. Claim to samsonite has been a nightmare. The company is not responding and does not standby its guarantee.
So avoid samsonite products and do not rely on their guarantee - it is worthless and useless. There are other products in the market one can choose.
Samsonite gives you a run around even on an international guarantee. Firsts i was asked tocontact
Asia office of samsonite - a fax with details of damage etc remains unanswered. No response from u.s office either. London, england office said it will look into it but remains silent. Had a call from a canadian representative offering 20% discount if i purchased another samsonite bag. Am i crazy to buy another samsonite product?
So, do not go by the brand name samsonite because it definitely is not what it used to be - prestigeous and reliable.
