Samdruptse hill also known as wish fulfilling hill is locayed in south sikkim in Namchi.Last week we went to Gangtok and travellrd to Samdruptse hill via Wagon R car. It took around 3.5 hrs to reach the hill from Gangtok. The road is a bit harsh and rocky.
While travelling to the hill undefined scenic view is available. Peaks of Kanchenjunga is also visible beautifully.
There is a monastery at Samdruptse hill. There is a big and awesome statue of Shri Guru Padmasamhava on top of hill. The monastery is very calm and peaceful.
We reached the hill by car and then had to walk by foot to reach the monastery. We attained an eternal bliss when we reached the monastery. Hyms were played along the road. The hill is surrounded by Green trees and valkey which adds to the quiteness and calmness.
There are steps to climb to the statue however as we were short of time so we did not climb up. we hot great view of Kanchenjunga from the hill.There are hotels and restaurants available nearby too to take rest and have food.
I loved the place and would recommend everyone to visit who is going to namchi.
