A film by iDreams Production, directed by Robby Grewal and starring Sushmita Sen as the main protagonist ACP Malvika Chauhan, Shusant Singh, Jackie Shroff in a special appearance and a host of not so popular faces of the Bollywood arena.

First of all I would like to congratulate the director for showing his courage and spirit by starting his career with such an unconventional film, so different from the typical Bollywood ones. He really deserves quite a number of patting on his back. Good. Please keep going with such films in the future.

The film was different right from its inception. The plot, the storyline, the dialogue delivery, the castline, effects, sound everything was not according to the typical bollywoodish style that we are so accustomed to. Either there is a hero-heroine pair a bunch of villains, a college scene, chitrahaar music sequences, dancing round the streets and bushes, marriage sequences. Or there are some gang-wars, murders, unnecessary bloodshed, rape scenes and other vulgarity. This film had nothing like that, it was a simple murder mystery with the BEST police officer trying to track down the BEST criminal.

The film starts with the city's BEST businessman murdered in his residence. The police is informed, they arrive on the scene. ACP Malvika Chauhan of the crime branch to carry out the investigation with her team. ACP Malvika Chauhan is the city's BEST police officer, intelligent, nothing passes through her eyes, disciplined and is an highly respected and admired by her junior staff. She has a pretty adorable daughter of 8-9 years, who aspires to become the BEST actress to keep up to her mothers expectations, she is the BEST daughter.

There is no clue left behind by the murderer to start with, the murder weapon is a mysterious one and the entire situation is queer. Forensic reports and other investigations lead to nowhere. Only there is a suspect, a friend of the murdered person, but ACP is not convinced. Before this case could be solved a second murder takes place, the BEST actress is murdered, all evidences point towards an ex-boyfriend of the actress but still ACP is not convinced. ACP Chauhan smells something, she has a hunch that the two murders are linked, the murderer is same. ACP is photographed by an unidentified photographer, the person is caught after a chase. One more murder takes place, this time it is the city's BEST contract killer who is killed just before ACP and her team could nab him. Malvika realizes that all the murders are being done just to challenge her and to reach out to her, the person is inkling at time and is playing with time, and the murders would continue if the person is not caught. When and where would the next murder take place is the question to be solved.

The pace of the film is very good and it totally involves the audience. Specially the climax and the ending of the film was very bold and unprecedented. The film moved in one track and didnot ever wave off to unnecessary dream sequences or songs. And ofcourse the best thing I liked about the film was the portrayal of women in something worthwhile, as most of the Hindi Bollywood films show women as good for nothing dancers, obedient bahus, bringing up children, perky college goers who have nothing to do other than crying, singing or dancing.

Sushmita Sen enacted her role as ACP Malvika Chauhan to its best. Although the rest of the cast didn't have much to enact out but were all above par in their respective roles.

I think this was some of the few Bollywood movies where I didn't feel like munching potato chips while watching the film. I didn't remember to.
