So I finally checked out the movie...had actually been waiting to go for the movie since having seen the promos...so slick and colourful...come to think of it, all movie promos now are very well made...so anyways...went with my mum for the movie as she also wanted to watch it...

the movie begins well...the voice-over is by abhishek bachchan and he introduces the characters as and when they appear in the movie...

Saif Ali Khan plays Nick (aka Nikhil Arora) - a qualified architect (to please daddy dearest)...and a chef (to please himself)...he is well settled in his home and job with the restaurant 'Nick of Time' in Australia...he is a cleanliness freak...is very bad at being punctual...is commitment-phobic...

Preity Zinta plays Ambar - studying medicine...also working as an RJ for the radio station 'Salaam Namaste'...loves her job...starts hating Nick (even though they have never met each other) cos he doesnt show up for the appointment on her show...is rather messy...has cut-off relations from her family who live in India...

Jugal Hansraj plays Jignesh...Preity's best buddy from medical school...who supports her through thick and thin...who Saif suspects later in the movie of being Preity's BF...(btw his voice sounds a LOT like Hrithik's...dont u think so?)

Arshad Warsi plays Ron (Ranjan)...Saif's best buddy...girl crazy...thinks he is in love with every beautiful girl he meets...eventually falls for Cathy (Tania Zaetta of 'Who Dares Wins' fame...) after just one chance meeting and they get married the next day !!! (Hellloooooo....!!!)

Javed Jaffery plays the landlord...funny character...with BAD english...

Kunal Vijaykar plays Preity's boss...

i dont want to delve too much into the story...cos maybe you can check out other reviews...or watch the movie itself !

here's my take...

the first half is very promising...the characters...comic situations...the look...all of it is well done...and I was looking forward to the remaining...but I think the movie could have been better...

the first thing that I found damn silly...was the wedding where ambar and nick meet for the first time and start flirting...they dont know each other's identity...and how come they dont ask for more info about each other...like full name !!! he knows her as ''Amby''...and she knows him as ''Nick the architect''...whereas she is having an on-air fight with ''Nick the chef''...

in the same wedding sequence, the title song suddenly starts...out of the blue...and who would sing a hindi-punju song at an aussie wedding !!!

in the 2nd half...when ambar is heavily pregnant and is craving 'Ben and Jerry's Belgian Dark Chocolate' ice-cream...the song 'Paune Barah bajje' is introduced...which heavily pregnant woman would dance like that !!! isnt it too much of a risk??? and the song itself wasnt necessary...

the end is rather silly...tries to be very funny...but totally 'inspired' from '9 months'...and that is why I didnt find it too funny...abhishek bachchan is shown as the crazy doctor...

all in all...the movie is ok...all the actors do a good job...preity could have done a little less screaming in the scenes where they fight...watch out for the following cameos...

1) Maria Goretti and her son Zeke in the shop...

2) Ness Wadia in the bus - sitting next to Preity...

3) Director Siddharth Raj Anand as the cab-driver...

ok then...shall end it for now...would be ok to watch the movie once...but dont say I didnt warn you if you are disappointed !!! I guess somebody's ''logic button was switched off'' - as arshad warsi says in the movie...
