Hmm is an expression of agreeing to nothing and disagreeing to almost nothing again :D, Well that’s what I say nowadays to whosoever interacts with me Hmm. Hmm is the most diplomatic thing to say.

Your girl expresses you about her love to you. You say Hmm (I am almost confused to know that :P).

She asks you about your feelings for her. You say Hmm (I am confused about who will pay for the date (~))

So it’s a state of confusion with an undercurrent of love. Nick aka Nikhil Arora is one such man who cooks and hooks err looks good, he starts feeling for this girl named Hambar aka Ambar but so does she. But for both love needed time to materialize and so they get into something called Live-In Relationship. Do they continue? , or it gets ended as just another relationship that never was meant to be that way. For more Salaam Namaste to the theatres.

Movie’s strength remains being a feel good entertaining movie with cool music and extremely well shown Australia accompanied with terrific onscreen chemistry between Saif and Preety. There interactions, confrontations and phone conversations are something that made this real treat to watch. The film delves into Live-In relationship which suggests to be a serious nugget but actually the whole feel has been lightened thanks to comic timings, funny situations and some much needed lovey dovey talks.

The first half is paced up and lad with real good songs and scenes making the audience feel good and enjoy the proceedings. In the 2nd half the movie tends to get a bit serious but just and the fun once again gets injected thanks to Saif’s foolishness over the whole issue.

Music by Vishal & Shekhar is peppy especially the Title track and the song My Heart Goes hmm. It’s the time when you feel to drool over your loved one.

Performance wise I feel Saif eats a bigger piece of the cake. He was CCD not Café Coffee Day but a cool confused dude, which all of you know that he gets easily akin to. The personality factor is working as well and his bodily flaunts, cool outfits make him a girl-panting guy. Preety looks cute as always and acts up to the mark but honestly there was a problem in her screeching and screaming, in scenes wherein she shouts sometimes it was a low steam effort. Arshad is above expectations coz he has kept himself under the belt of being Ron and not taking the same path as circuit or a side kick hero, he comes out well. Jugal Hansraj looks absolute Gujarati Jiganesh, fair and with cat eyes. Remaining support is apt and might be funny too esp. Javed Jaffery.

Technically as usual a Yash Raj Film would be thought about it well, Director Siddharth Raj Anand has promoted himself well and gives a fresh new feel for the movie, But I feel the director needs a quick course for timing of few scenes mingled out in the movie, Like the song Pone Barah Baje comes after a situation that was intense and going by the overall feel of the movie it wasn’t timed well, though no big problems as such. So I can say he looks a prospect and the one who can stay in the YRF camp.

Editing was apt but a disruption in the Saif and bar sequence with a foreign girl looked forcefully cut, Cinematography is wow, Australia really looked like a appealing country to be into. Music as I said previously is right with the mood of the film FRESH and even other songs are catchy and worth humming once you get out of the audi.

Blemishes are tolerable considering the overall sense of the movie of entertainment and not being something like real sensitive film hence something like overt shouting of a 8 month pregnant mother and dancing salsa with feet up might look a bit superficial and also the fact they were about to have twins it looked a bit out of order. Also the outcome contradicts the character ideology of the 2 leads, like if Ambar hates marriages then why in the name she wants to give a name to the relationship. Also the comic and hurrey feel of the movie carried by the 1st half looks waning in the 2nd. For me Abhishek’s presence as a presenter of the story looked nice but not his antics as the funny doctor in the end. But as I said it’s the motto which grips and the motto is entertainment, so its taken.

Look out for trailers of few movies like Maine Gandhi ko nahi mara and Neil ‘n’ Nikki along side this flick.

Ambar :: Tum Mujhe Pyaar Nahi Kar Sakte, there is a problem.

Nick:: Oh Tumme Kya Problem hai

Cticize’s Quote:: “Hmm. Needed feel good and some real entertainment hence went for this satisfactorily. Watch it with your group or for better viewing Girlfried/Boyfriend along side adviced.”

Hmm turn your heart to Rate and Comment about anything.

PS:: The chemistry between the 2 leads looked real fresh after many days on screen that I have seen.
