Sidharth Anand, another entrant to don the director's hat, another protege of the Yash Raj clan, another fan of mushy love stories. Whats the difference one may ask?
Well, for starters as the trailor suggests no ma and pa in here, no chiffon sarees, no Alps sawari.

Mr. Nick Arora is an architect(dropout) cum head chef and Ms Amber something... is a medical student cum RJ.
Analogous to me being a SE cum reporter cum film critic;). Both are independant, ambitious ,smart and like to live life on their own terms. Nick doesnt believe in marriage and Amber too wants to stay away from the nuptial bliss.
They meet, fight first, then fall in love, similar to dozen other YashRaj flicks.
However, the movie takes a turn with the decisiion go live-in.
The situations are nicely etched out. And just before the interval the differences begin to rise.
Mush is in the air, with early morning breakfast, and scented candles etc etc. Some hot scenes between the couples adds to the mush.
However,as predictable as Ganguly's run chart(prior to 101) , the couple have differences to deal with. First with the population outbreak....( 2 se 4.)
Teh couple decide to opt for abortion...(not killing, say abortion ;)) But Amber backs out at the last moment and decides to have the baby( She doesnt know abt the twins then) and she wishes to settle down. Contrary to her wishes ,Nick wants to back out. So much that he wants to leave her all on her own.
The fights that follow are a mix of fun and shrill. The couple go bang bang over each otehr for around 15-20 minutes, till finally sanity prevails and Nick decided to settle down with Amber. Howevr, the sanity remains shortlved , for a hair raising climax awaits you.

The crew- Melbourne is the new destination of Bollyowod..although we are mostly in the cosy indoors throughout. Good cinematography. Music is short n sweet, only 4 songs throughout.
The cast - Arshad Warsi looks a tad outof place in a much polished version compared to Circuit.He doesnt have enough funy lines as well.. and Juggal Hansraj continues to make his appearances in YashRaj's. When will this boy grow up.

Priety Zinta as Amber is the heart of the movie.She has carried out a relatively bold role with elan.Saif takes another step in his DCH,KHKH ,hum tum genre. He has mastered the role of an urbane dude with these movies.Another feather in his cap.
There are a few scenes which look straight out of Kal ho na ho or Hum tum or one may say a polished version of Kya Kehna(1998) with a twisted ending. However, this comparison should itself say, how much we have changed in outlook from 1998-2005.
The direcotr must be applauded for his effort to add maturity in Bollywood movies.For a change a hot kis*s between the lead pair will not be an topic of discussion. YashRaj are moving out of the family genres to younger crowds. This one is definitely for the young at heart.
