The guy and the gal meet. Look into each other’s eyes. Smile. And do, what majority of the people do, when meeting for the first time – Hi, Hello, Salaam Namaste !

Song Number 1 – Salaam Namaste

The title track of the movie, Salaam Namaste is the perfect appetizer for the hearty meal to follow. It sets the tone for the rest of the album with its high energy level and sprightly https://lyrics. The fusion of Punjabi Dhols and Jazzy Beats will certainly tempt you to shake a leg. Definitely a great way to do “Dua Salaam” with your loved ones.

Singers - Kunal Ganjawala & Vasundhara Das

The intro rounds are over. Initial hesitation is gone. The guy and the gal are well acquainted with each other. They admit that they find each other quite irritating at times. But the confusion lingering in their minds is, that despite the flaws their Dil Goes Mmmm… for each other. Now, isn’t that something really really sweet?

Song Number 2 – My Dil Goes Mmmm

Ever heard of something called a loving fight? If not, then you must definitely hear this song. It’s a sweet duet of a couple nagging at each other in a light way and at the same time confessing, that despite the imperfections they can’t help loving each other. The music is saccharine, going well with the theme of the song and the lyrics will definitely bring a smile on your face.

Singers - Shaan & Gayatri Iyer

Both leave from their houses exactly at 11:45 to meet each other, start feeling restless without each other and care a lot for each other. But the “idiots” still haven’t realized they are in love, despite the obvious pointers. So, they end up asking their hearts - What’s Goin’ On?

Song Number 3 – What’s Goin’ On

Welcome to the era of new age music. That’s what this song is all about! It’s an updated version of “running around trees” kind of songs with a blend of attitude that will appeal to the youth of today. Music is cool, lyrics are cool and the song is ultra cool. The chorus is used very effectively, hence, making this number a “hum-able” one.

Singers - Kunal Ganjawala & Sunidhi Chauhan

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Confusion over. Fights over. It’s time to get mushy and romantic. Guy sits on his knees and offers the gal a red rose. She accepts it shyly with a blush on her cheeks. Whoof… so finally they do release that they are in love!

Song Number 4 – Tu Jahan

This one is undoubtedly my favourite track in the whole album. You can play it when your lover isn’t with you and you are missing her terribly. And you can play it even when, you are sitting with her silently, holding her hand in yours & watching the sunset together. The lyrics are poetic. The music is mesmerizing. This song can make you shed a tear and smile earnestly at the same time.

Singers - Sonu Nigam & Mahalaxmi Iyer

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, the car is on the right track now. Both are having the time of their lives and enjoying the magic of love. Life seems like a rock song , with each drum beat signifying the “high” they are experiencing. Needless to say, their Dil Goes Mmmm… yet again, but this time at a faster pace than before.

Song Number 5 – My Dil Goes Mmmm (English Club Mix)

“Oh Wow”, that’s what I uttered when I heard this track for the first time. It’s an out-and-out English number with captivating music, enchanting beats and lyrics that will put you in the party mood right away. I can’t think of any other Bollywood album with an absolute English track in it. So, this one may just prove to be a trendsetter.

Singers - Shaan & Caralisa Monteiro; Mix by DJ Aqeel

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Life is short. No spare time to waste. Now that, both the lovers are madly in love, it’s the right time to ring the wedding bells. They meet each other’s parents, relatives, cousins, neighbours, best friends, pet dogs etc… and after Salaam Namaste with them, comes the moment of the Dhols and Shehnais.

Song Number 6 – Salaam Namaste (Dhol Mix)

This one is a remix version of the title song, with a “double tadka” of Punjabi touch in it. Those who prefer loud numbers may like this one more than the original. But, as far as I’m concerned the original was just fine for me.

Singers - Kunal Ganjawala & Vasundhara Das; Mix By Nikhil Chinnappa & Naved

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, the boyfriend-girlfriend are husband-wife now. With the change in relation, a few others things change as well. Their Dil still Goes Mmmm… but in a more matured way now. Years down the line, they have developed a great understanding and chemistry. They can easily comprehend their better half’s feelings with mere facial expressions. Who says we can’t converse without words?

Song Number 7 – My Dil Goes Mmmm (Instrumental)

This is the instrumental version of My Dil Goes Mmmm and may not have as much impact as the original songs. But there couldn’t have been a better way to end this musical journey. The album makers identified their “trump card” song and placed its instrumental version at the end giving a great finishing touch to the album, so that its music continues to haunt us even after hours of listening.

Music - DJ Aqeel

And they lived happily ever after…
