I was planning to buy a decent Android mobile phone and a few priced between 20-30K were in my radar. I prefer online shopping normally but have had bad experiences a few times earlier although those have not kept me away from doing more shopping online.


Was looking up the pricing of the mobile I chose on several E-commerce websites and found that the price was lowest on Saholic. Straight away got onto the Mouthshut and started to read reviews about Saholic. Some reviews were positive while some of them were scary. Quickly scanned through most of the reviews and realized that the issues were not directly due to Saholic on several instances. However Saholic has to note that who-ever is responsible for the delays or issues, end of the day the blame would be on them, so they should be careful.


I ordered the mobile during the weekend and knew the product would not move until the following Monday (It said shipping in 3 days for my location). No tracking updates on Monday and Tuesday but when I checked back on Wednesday morning, I could see Bluedart's tracking number, however the shipment was delayed at Delhi HUB due to cancellation of Bluedart's flight.(Would have reached Hyderabad Wednesday morning and delivered by them on the same day- and satisfy the 3 working day condition).


The shipment reached Hyderabad on Thursday and I was waiting for the delivery boy all day since the Tracking said the package has gone out for delivery. Waited until 6 PM and no one showed up. Called up Bluedart and they informed it would be delivered in 30 mins. Nothing in the next 45 mins, I called up again and this time they tell me my residence was locked so the delivery boy left. I gave bluedart customer a peace of mind that my residence was never locked and my mother was waiting for the package all day.


They assured they would deliver early next day. I however decided to go to the courier company office myself and picked up the package.(Escalated the shipping delay issue within bluedart, but that's a different story).


The packing was good enough and inside was the original Bill and sealed box of the mobile I ordered. Overall, I am satisfied with the Services of Saholic and would love to do business with them again in the future if the need be. From my personal experience with Online shopping, these guys are pretty good if they get it right the first time, however if something goes wrong when they are first shipping, whole lot of confusion prevails with the customer care executives who have no clue about whats going on and they continue to confuse the customer who eventually gets furious and blasts everyone. I have seen this with almost every service in India. Be it Airtel Digital TV or Vodafone customer support or HDFC banK personnel. The executives have no training and start talking crap on the phone and thats what irritates the customer every time.


I would recommend Saholic to anyone who would like to shop there. It's safe and genuine as I see it from my experience. Good Luck!
