Not often do you step into a restaurant chock-a-block with people and expect to be served swiftly, but at sagar things are different. This restaurant opposite to the railway station is ideal for the people about to embark on a journey or the ones just off the ride looking for a refreshment.
It is well furnished with comfortable sofas, arranged in a manner which allows individuals and families to settle in without any hassle. Stewards, who are always on the button would assist you in your search for the dish for your tingling taste buds. Menu is well designed and drafted with cuisines varying from Southindian specials to moughlai droolovers. Uttapam is quite a good pick. Its a well prepared dish with toppings and garnishing making it an authentic as well as savoury delight. Among other items on offer the masala dosas and vegie snacks are worth giving a shot. An Utappa complimented by a hot cup of coffee or chocalate would comprise a throughly refreshing breakfast.
As it is a truly vegetarian restaurant and a maharashtrian of sorts, its typical thali is a sumptuous and fulfilling treat for lunch. Moughlai food and Piquant curries though rich in oily content are irresistable. Veg maharani , as the name suggests is the mother of all curries, several vegetables worked up together in a condensed gravy is on the course everytime you feast.
Desserts and juices are also off the charts. All in all a very nice way to start your day after a breakfast or off to rest after a hectic day having had a dinner at Sagar.
