Saffron restaurant looks like quite a bit expensive with its outdoor looks, but inside its just quite within reach to have a dinner every week for students who study in nearby colleges.though it had very good quality but off late they have compromised on quality while trying to maintain the cost effectiveness.
You must try paneer malai tikka. And other panner snacks. Paneer is really soft and melts in mouth.
Panner chilli was not good at all, avoid chinese.
Though you may try baked vegetables in continental, next to saffron is the non-veg restaurant which has a bar too. The rates there are 10-15 rs higher for a few dishes of veg items .so check if you want to sit there. It has a open terrace as well, nice to be seated in evenings.
Best part--"customer service", its truly very nice, even big hotels wont be having such service and they should learn from them. Now they serve food also within expected time, earlier they used to be quite slow.
But their ac should be improved, they don't work as you expect very poor a.c system., in non-veg restaurant its much better compared to saffron although the same management.
Must try: dahi bhala. They are really tasty..we ate a bowl .it was for rs 35 another must try: veg thali (limited)... About rs 75.. And is sufficient for one. Has about 6-7 items including a sweet dish ..
In lunch they have unlimited thali for rs 110 but have'nt tried that.
Visit with your friends, ideal for students, small treats or when large number of people have to be invited.they feel satisfied and taken good care of and at same time it does not hit hard on your pocket too
