He is the man with the most one-day centuries in the world; he is the man to have won more match of the match award than anyone in the entire world. He is the man who has tormented the great Shane Warne not only in the field but also in his dreams, he is the man who has single handedly batted Australia out so many Tests and numerous one-day internationals, yes he is none other than our own “Sachin Tendulkar”. A whole night will pass but the tale of his achievements will not end.
And just to add one more chapter to his tale, he has now completed the double of a 100 wickets and just a 10,000 runs in one-day internationals!!!!!!!!!
Well friends, the more I write about this man, the less it is. For a man of only 28 years of age, this is a marvelous achievement. He is now in his 12th year in International cricket and he has got over 55 tons and over 15,000 runs and when he hangs up his boot (I wish that he never) possibly in a decades time, he should have almost 15,000 runs in tests and about 25,000 runs in odis with almost 50 tons in tests and about 60 in one dayers, the record that I presume would be almost impossible for anyone to break.
But the thing that sets this man apart as a normal human being is his down to earth attitude. Anyone with such kind of achievement is surely to lose his head and surely after the comments like, “HE IS A GOD IN INDIA” by an Australian. But this is not the case with Sachin, and there is no doubt in my mind that this attitude has only helped him in maintaining his form and consistency, which his great counterpart “Brian Lara” has failed to maintain.
Now we can only wish Sachin best of luck and pray that he could win more and more matches for India, especially an away test series against Australia or South Africa.
