God's Own Gift To India. Review on Sachin Tendulkar

My dad saw India draw a flak against West Indies after the 83 World Cup and prayed to God to give this team a respite.The respite came but it came in an ordinary fashion not the usual bizarre style.It came in the form of tiny but gritty 16 yr old making his debut in Pakistan just about the time I was born.He too drew a flak in his first brush with international cricket but he drew even a flak like a tiger.It all started there,this little kid started smashing everything first on the list was Abdul Qadir, who got thrashed for runs in the first LOI played by this tiger which was sadly not recognised by ICC.Yes this tiger is known other than Sachin whom I shall further refer to as ST.ST was born on 24/4/73 and was gifted his first cricket bat by his 'Naani' who was also the first bowler the maestro faced in his life.He came into the limelight due to a dazzling 600+ partnership with chum Vinod Kambli.Heis foray into tests was not as brilliant as expected so was his start to his ODi career.Sachin made his first ton in ODi's against the Invincible Aussies at Colombo and in Tests against the English in England.His entry into the openers slot is in itself an interesting story and part of India's cricketing history.ST's technique is a unique fusion of technique and panache.He loves to play his shots and loves to go after the bowlers.After all the world's greatest spinner Warne himself had gone on record after the fantabolous Sharjah series that he had nightmares of ST coming down the track and smashing him for boundaries.ST has played many a match-winning knock and mentioning those would take a lot of time.He is a phenomenon with 60 odd centuries in international cricket and more than 20000 runs and notwithstanding he has also taken a few hundred wickets and is also an excellent fielder.Isn't he indeed God's own Gift to India?
