I don't think I have watched that much cricket to review any player's style, however I think enough has been said and spoken about this game since the betting controversy started.
I faced a lot of heat (on MS..not in reality) when I wrote a review on Azhar, supporting his game and speaking against his ban. Now this review was motivated by Vvikas review on Sachin. Vikas has questioned the truth of Sachin denying the whole fixing scandal.
Let me be very open before I write my review. I FEEL THAT SACHIN TENDULKAR HAS ALSO BEEN A BENEFICIARY OF THE BETTING MONEY! Why am I saying this? I don't think I have enough evidence to go out and tell the CBI this. But the way the media has kept mouthshut about this man, I suspect something fishy.
Sachin was captain/vc of the team on many series. How was the team's performance in that? Has anyone of you sat down with a table and co-related the performance and his captaincy? Does it show any co-relation. For the scholars out there, have you learnt regression. What does Sachin graph predict...that he performed poorly, at all times when he was leading the team in these positions. Was it magic? Was it pre-mediated. I dont think he openly took money. He may have taken it in the form of business contracts. I mean ''double my pepsi ad fees if I loose this...'' Maybe he did it in the form of foreign bank account. Sachin is a smart man. He knows that the majority of Indians worship him. So he will never do things openly, but, he has DONE IT! I think.
Some reiteration from my review on Sachin:
a) Why was he not questioned by the CBI as thoroughly as others were.
b) Why did he maintain silence when the scandal broke out?
c) Why has the media not SPECULATED his involvement. Even saints and gurus are often caught doing illegal things. We are all human. Even I would want my palm to be greased if the rewards are high and I would'nt be caught. Die hard fans of Sachin. True fans of Sachin. Fans of sachin in illussion, will you hate me? Will you not recommend this review? Will you try and hit me if you find me alone on the street? My only reason of being so open is for you TO THINK. Think: that someone you venerate can also be wrong.
Call Sachin, ask him to go public. Ask him to hold an open press conference. Ask him to write a rebuttal of this review, here on Mouthshut.com Ask him to SPEAK and ask the authorities to make him REVEAL the truth
