It is not a cricket season and one may be out of mood to read or write about ccricket, but when it comes to Sachin,I come in mood.
A lot has already been written in news papers etc. so I shall skip all the staistical details about his cricketing.
Remember Calcutta one day against S.A.? The crucial last over in which SA needed to score just 6 runs to win the game? No bowler was ready to bowl the 50th over. It was Sachin who did it and did it so well that India won.Cool headed work, which could make India loose, which could put a black dot on his career. Very few could have done it.
Recall the world cup match against Pakistan. All the game plans of Pakistan failed the moment he took strike with two stumps open. It really spoiled the bowling line of Shoaib and runs were piled up at jet speed. None would take a risk of stancing like this. Shoaib at his speed can root out stump if a mistake happens by the batsman.
You must have seen many batsmen making funny reverse sweep.I think, after Srikant,only Sachin plays flawless reverse sweeps.
Remember Sachin not asking for a runner in the world cup match against Pakistan?
How many times have you seen him going back to pavillion during fielding?
How many times has he dropped a catch?
