Sachin Ka Dabba is situated near Kodambakkam Bridge which ends at the juncture of North Usman Road and where the Numgambakkam High Road Starts. The ambience of the restaurant is very good with black and white blow up photos of Nargis and other old timers in the film industry. Service is excellant and they talk and understadn only Hindi and likes, but not tamil, which is the local language in the city of Chennai.
Parking might be a problem if you are driving to this place in car, since there is no designated parking space, but two wheelers can get away with parking right in front of the Dhabba beside the road.
The ground floor is more of a kitchen than a serving place and the dining floor is on the first floor.
All the vegetarian dishes are good and Lachadar Paratta and Mooli Paratta are soft and tasty here. The gravies are also good, do not forget to try the Masala Pepsi in the menu. It will be more of a Pepsi customized to taste like Jal Jeera, interesting drink for risk takers.
The non vegetarian dishes looked ok, (I am a Vegan and so is my group). This is going by the sizzling manner in which they are served, yes sizzler versions are also available, famous and this is one of the few such affordable Dhabbas which do so.
They also offer wonderful Pan at additional cost with Sweet Somph to finish the food with a lingering taste even while you leave the restaurant.
