Sachin: A billion Dreams is a docu-drama which premiered across 2400 theatres in India on Friday. I watched the movie in Carnival Cinemas Ameerpet and altogether it was a great 2 hours spent. For any sachin fan above 20 years old, this movie brings in a lots of nostalgia especially for those in their late 20's.
The plot is about the life of the legend Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar and his ultimate aim to win the ICC Cricket World cup which has eluded him for more than two decades. The best part about this is all the scenes are completely real footages of the cricketers or his excerpts about those incidents.
Performance cannot be qualitatively defined for this movie as 70-80% of the scenes were actual footage, the people who acted for the childhood part of sachin did their job pretty well. A R Rahman music is very good and gives you the chills when watching in a theatre. There are no particular songs in which dancing is involved but they go with the flow of cinema.
Finally coming to the cinematography of the movie, I have to say it is well above par, apart from the real footage the locations and the skill was really visually appealing. I would definitely recommend you to watch the movie but remember it is a docu-drama and do not expect the movie to be like MS Dhoni: an untold story
