I have been passing by this ''Sab Mall'' for the past 20 days on my way to work. The Mall itself has a brilliant corner location in prime NOIDA. Aate Jaate you cant help but notice it.It has the usual Mall types Alucom Panel Look with an outdated ''Karishma- the biggest show ever'' poster adorning it. Aaj ekdam ''Phemili Trip'' style we went in along with already kharida hua saamaan. Andar Ghuste hi I expected some guard to safeguard our bags. But aas paas koi nahi dikha. I somehow accepted this fact and went ahead.... The usual coffee and Pepsi kiosks were tucked away in the corners. You had to choose between exploring the top 2 floors or the basement. As I rose along with the escalator, the mirrored glasses reflected the gleaming trusses on top. There is no escalator for coming down. You have to walk down the ramp passing by all the shops. The intentions of the architect and the owner might have been good, but the ramp itself is too cramped for happy movement and the odd designer outlets interspersed between Barren shops just makes you want to get out faster...Eventually you reach the ground floor....Ab hum Basement ki taraf chal pade... This was the biggest joke of all. The ''Bag-Guards'' were happily sitting in the basement.. The reason - The owner runs the basement and his outlets need to have such security. The other floors have been rented out and can fend for themselves !! Anwyay, the whole setting seems like a cheaper version of 'Ebony'.
There are the same cute-looking salesgirls for the Loreals and Revlons, the same tie-suit waali junta for the electronic goods, the same big teddy bears appropriately placed around for photographs.... But something is amiss...The good points can summed up as the ''Qwiky's'' Coffee Outlet with the nice view of NOIDA, a shop called 'Orista' ( a alternative for Barissta !!) and wide NOIDA parking lot as a neighbour...AC ki Hawa khane its worth a visit. But for ACTUALLY buying stuff....please skip it.
