I am about to make a bold statement....and I am damn confident about it.
There is no other seafood restaurant in Mumbai which serves such fantabulous delicacies.
And thats underlined!
I have been a Saayba lover since the time when it was a roadside eatery with no AC and with the traffic sounds of the everbusy SV Rd for ambience. Today its a partly air-conditioned eatery with a glass door separating the traffic sounds from your eardrums. Not that it really matters(except in the HOT summer of Mumbai)! You are so busy submitting your taste buds to the treasure of the oceans that you really couldn't care less! And boy! What food! Its something that has to be experienced! Served in the traditional Steel ki Thaali, with steel katoras and mouth watering fish preparations to satisfy your taste buds, this small eatery is a boon for seafood lovers. I recommend the Prawns Fry Masala with Chapati, if you are one of those who love spicy food. If too spicy puts you off, you can always go for the less spicy Mori Masala or Teesrya Masala. As for the fried dishes, do try the authentic Mumbai delicacy Bombil Fry.
You can be assured of a complete homely taste, thanks to the personal attention given by the owner of the hotel in matters of buying fish etc. The masalas are specially MADE AT HOME by the owner(A lady who has surely earned a place in heaven for herself, thanks to the amount of duas she earns by fishlovers throughout Mumbai).
Do visit this eatery, and I promise you that you will not eat fish anywhere else in Mumbai! Long Live the Seafood lovers!
PLEASE NOTE: If you are a veggie, never enter this eatery. You will be served the ''Bhaji of the day'' and others will look at you with a horrified expression on their faces!
