As per name STAR HEALTH, you will see " stars " for claiming the insurance. These people will show you all kinds of stars while selling the policy but when you go for claim " no show"


I had bought a health pocy from star health thinking that a reputed a company which has no TPA. But got to know how cheap they are when I requested for a claim.


They will follow below flow chart when you try cashless claim.


1) You will inform star about emergency hospitalization and get a intimation id.


2) Star will say they have sent a mail for pre authorization mail to Hospital.


3) Hospital will provide all necessary information to star through mail.


4) Star will say the provided information is not clear so cashless claim is denied.


5) Again you will run to Hospital insurance Helpdesk and request them to resend all the information, even though before they have sent correct information.


6) Again Star will say no clarity on sickness reason so cashless claim denied.


7) You will again call star health and request them what exactly "clear information" they need.


8) Star will say again no clarity   and ask you for come for member reimburse ment


9) Being fed up of all these issues you will leave the attempt thinking that you will get reimbursement.


10) You will send all medical diagnostic report, bills, discharge summary to star health without any delay for reimbursement.


11) Star will send a neat mail saying that "your claim is rejected due to PED( Pre existing Disease), which was not disclosed while buying the policy" and your policy is still 1 year old so we need not pay any paisa to you"


In our case, consultant specialist doctor from a very reputed hospital( whenre we had admitted) certified and signed that it was not a pre-existing disease, still star health doctors have made it a pre- existing disease and rejected our claim request neatly.


So dear all, never buy any insurance from STAR HEALTH, This is my very bad experience with star health. I have all the proofs which I have sent it to star health, still no reply .
