There are numerous companies in our country those offer health insurance policies. But I have found Star Health insurance company the best in all aspects. Earlier, I had my health insurance policy in HDFC Life Insurance company and then I ported it to Star Health insurance company in the year 2014 and the process was completed in one month's time.
The premium I paid was much less than earlier and with better benefits. For me, my wife and my 17 year old daughter, the premium was a little more than only Rupees 14000/- with a coverage of Rupees 4 lacs. When I renewed it in the year 2015, the premium was reduced to 12, 150/- and the coverage enhanced to 5 lacs, which is really good. Moreover, after completing three years, the company will pay me Rupees 4000/- in cash for a complete health check up. In respect of the policy, it covers Rupees 5 lacs of expenses if I get admitted to a hospital. The claims are settled in 24 hours as they claim. It is an amazing policy. Their customer service is too good as compared to other companies for sure.
