This is Sagar Bakshi, I had group policy with star health insurance for 1.5 lacs and it was my first experience with any insurance company.


I met with an accident  and I have applied for pre-hospitalization expenses & post-hospitalization expenses in month of may for around Rs 15, 000/- .


I have submitted a bundle of papers which includes all my original bills  with doctors prescription and x-ray reports physically at their office in Gurgaon  and I have called more than 50 times for 2 months, but their is no response till date, I stpped calling them after 3 months of no response and I have not received even a rupee.


Their customer service department is not helpful at all they will just put a query and if you will call next there would be same response . Most of the time if you will  call them you won't be able to get an agent from their department(on toll free number) in first go.


Twice they asked me to send the x-ray report again, but if you have already submitted the original documents what will you do. I have already written 2 letters and 1 mail to their department, but no response. They will never call you for the status for your claim, why?


Because they are least bothered to give your funds back to you. And I have stopped calling them because there is no point calling them if they don't want to help you. And it would be very painful to you if you will trust someone and in return if they will cheat you.


TRUST me friends I still have all the xerox of all the documents and the letter that I have submitted and the pictures of my injuries after accident  with the bills that how many times I have called them. Its my request please don't ever buy insurance from them. Its not only a request but its an appeal for all of you.
