Just to share my experience which happened on 28th Aug for my spouse surgery. I was really great full to STAR Health Insurance for reconsidering my cashless claim which happened on the right time and relieved me at last moment. My wife had a sudden fall on 2nd Aug at home and she faced a ligment tear which I realised after a week thru my family doctor after she recommended for MRI. When she fell I thought its a normal injury and applied move and gave her combiflam for pain relive at home and started home remedy. Later after the MRI we came to know that 1 ligment is tear and we need to get her operated. I showed the MRI report to some of my friends working in Wockhard  & Nanavati and got recommendation form their ortho  doctors, everybody said that surgery is must.


I decided to move to Ahmedabad and get her operated their as I know in Mumbai this would cost me above 2.50 lakh if I go for it. I went to Colombia Asia hospital for her surgery as per the feedback which I got from net. I admitted my my thinking that its cashless and will be reimbursed by company, but after my wife surgery I came to know that the cashless claim is rejected by their panel of doctors as they thought surgery is not required at this time and I can reimburse it later. I was in shock as being to other city I need to arrange cash as it was Saturday evening and next day the banks were closed.


I call up the call center and requested them but I was not successful, I then mailed gthe company as expalined them my condition for finance crisis and finally on Saturday evening the claim approval came from company and on Monday the settlement was done by STAR Heath company which was  "REALLY HAPPY & OF STAR QUALITY"


I learned that at times we blame company but we also need to get the right thing done as per the company requirement like in my case I would have taken my wife to hospital when she got the injury and should have got the 1st incident report from a doctor to give information to the company about the incident.


REALLY APPRECIATE THE COMPANY EFFORTS  & SUPPORT WHICH STAR HEATH INSURANCE HAS GIVEN TO ME.


I pay premium and do not compare it with others as I hope nobody in this world should undergo with any medical crisis in their life. But for safer side you should have a good company insurance company who should satnd by you in tough time and my personal feeling is STAR HEATLH Insurance is one of them.
