I applied for and was issued a gold credit card from SBI in 2003. They refused to renew my gold card in 2004 despite me having available limit on the expiring card!! I had never defaulted on payments and they said I must have atleast 60% available limit to qualify for renewal!! They still charge the same rate of interest on outstanding in full knowledge of the fact that its cheating and I dont use the credit card facility anymore cos I dont have a card!!
All people I get to talk in their office plead helplessness due to ''RULES''. Infact one person even sympathised with me in confidence and said their system sucked!!
Only reason am paying up is because I heard they will blacklist names so that the credit history gets jeopardised. Credit history is going to play an important role in future with the strengthening of CBIL.
I wish SBI cards my heartfelt BAD.
