SBI's highhandedness I have been using SBI card for more than 5 years. Suddenly SBI has blocked card for without even informing me. I was in terrific shock and felt embarrssed, when informed by a shop cashier that my card was not being accepted by swiping machine. When enquired through toll free number, they had inofrmed me that they could not disclose the reason for blocking. I have been regular in payments throughout. It's ironical that a largest public sector bank treats its trusted customers this way.
SBI Customer service dept works like Mohd Tuglaq, who changed country's capitals like stupid. The curtomer care numbers are changed so frequently, it's very difficult to remember the numbers. The new numbers do not apear on statements or envelops. The recorded message asks for 4 digit number, God knows what the hell it's asking. The waiting time to attend the call is 25 minutes. Customer should be another stupid to wait and keep the phone engaged for 25 minutes hearing the stupid repeated messages. First time I started to hate SBI card.
