I received my SBI card a month back. Before applying, I have been reading the review for SBI Cards from this site. I was a little doubtful about the card itself in the beginning, but decided to go for it; as I bank with SBI for the last 6 years (also with ICICI, which is still there...but not satisfied....as commonly thought) and have found it a better people to bank with.
I work with a Non-Profit organisation and live in Bangalore (7 kms. away from Kamanahalli - which is the nearest business place).
Speaking about the card itself, its a SBI-Railway Card. The offers are good and the card is pretty good as against so many reviews I found. They have reward points for every purchase and there is a free balance transfer offer for three months, and so on. Its a visa card and is widely acceptable. I am writing the review after one month because I wanted to find out how the card is and how friendly the customer care executives are. I found everything satisfying about the card.
There is no problem in the payment as I can do an online payment, which though takes two days to get reflected in your account. The charges are nominal compared to other banks cards. SBI does not have any hidden charges and I think is one of the best straight forward card. And about the website---it is working properly and I have been using it almost every second day to keep a tab.
Coming to the custormer service, the customer service is real good. I have never waited more than 10 seconds (max.) for any of my queries being answered by the executive and I have always found them speaking with much interest and clarity. I got my card on the exact day that the SBI promised to deliver, considering the factor that I live around 7 kms. away from the nearest business center, in Bangalore.
Though everything else was fine, when I tried to get some information about FLEXIPAY option, one executive didnt give me full information. but the second executive was more than willing to give the complete information and was pretty clear with the charges applicable.
I will strongly reccommend this card to all those who are planning for a Credit Card and also for those who have one already, it is a good idea to get one of SBI's.
