The Only reason I applied for this card was for railway reservations and though since its a public sector company there will be no frauds and hidden charges but I was wrong.
I had applied for SBI credit card around a couple of years ago with a sales executive. At that time I wasn't smart enough to fill up the form myself instead I just signed and he told me that he will fill it up himself.Probably he entered his mobile number on the form due to which the courier company called him to receive the card.
One day to my surprise I got the atm pin mailed to me however I didn't receive the credit card. I reported this to there customer care and got the card blocked but by that time it was already used by someone with an amound of Rs.36000/-. Since then I have been receiving there monthly statements and now the amount has grown up to Rs.56000/-. I had even visited there regional office and explained the whole story to them but they gave me a deaf ear. Now, they have sent me a legal notice to visit the district court and do the settlement.
I know I was careless but it was bank's duty to verify my credentials and then deliver the card.
