Have been using SBI Card since 5-6 years. Prior to this I had HDFC and ICICI banks credit cards however they expired upon no use whereas SBI Card remained active(the only plus point). Overall the card is easy to use and payment through net banking is also possible however main irritants are 1. Very poor service and response from the customer service team(government employee mentality remains with the respondents). 2. The reward redemption program is extremely complicated unlike in other cards like ICICI where you can directly select the rewards online and get it delivered. Instead SBI has made it deliberately complicated to discourage users to avail rewards.
Who on earth would ask the client to write a snail mail to their PO just for rewards redemption. Other alternative is to make a phone call(which does not work at all and takes you through an answering machine until you reach a dead end and you don't get to hear any option of rewards redemption).
So far I have earned more than 4600 points but unable to redeem due to this very reason. As a result, I have stopped using this card and going instead for online transactions and debit cards utilization.
I doubt that SBI Card is interested in improving their customer satisfaction at all hence it is advisable to go for better service providers which are available easily.
