Let me first start off with a small brief about a credit card, for many it's a loan, for some it's a instant money in hand and not asking from anyone and for many it's a credible and earned credit through a period of time from a bank. And am also in one of the groups, which I can proudly.  One basic advantage which a credit card provides I can share with you is if you need money there is a card in hand, of course there is a limit to it based on your credit profile or history.


Let me start briefing about SBI as a brand facilitating a credit card service, first of all, as a semi-govt bank, SBI credit card business. Still it hold a lot of advantages in having or procuring a SBI card. And I will declare I own myself a SBI card.  The first thing one has to keep in mind while using credit card on a whole is always look out for a due-date, when is the payment due either it can be a MP(Minimum Payment) which will be 5% of the total outstanding or complete outstanding.


The advantages and disadvantages for choosing to pay MP(Minimum Due) and total outstanding is in its name itself.


Minimum due of course one has to pay 5% of the total outstanding payment, but in the next billing cycle we need to pay MP which includes(5% of the total outstanding amount and 3% amount on the total outstanding due, which I will explain the other segment.


SBI is a good brand, and I have being experiencing the goodness of SBI since 8 good years, hence I recommend. It gives you the total satisfaction of the credit card which a end-user wants. Starting with Customer Service.


Customer Service: Initially with the other brand I had a issue with calling on their toll-free number for any inquiry or grievance of any nature.  The line used to hold me down for a infinite time and later I used to get frustrated and disconnect the call myself for not being able to reach the end service executive. Initially I though same with SBI, and for at least a good 2 years I did not call them for what so ever reason.


But in practice its a different and pleasant. As with one of the friends advising me to call the help line number, which I did within a span of 3 minutes for me it's a very less time I could reach a service executive and in approximately 2 minutes either he/she would resolve the issue but also give me an estimated days of time for it to get resolved and they used to call me then on to confirm the same resolution. It's seriously top class and you also have an option of email inquiry which will also be responded within 7-10 working days.


Rates & Charges: Well generally all the credit cards companies including SBI has to be on the same lines in regards to their rates and charges to not much to say or shout about that. But its good to see the SBI has aligned itself to Indian Railways to services its end-customers'.  It's a good move as Indian economy is also moving towards digital way.
