I hate Ryanair. I may be spoiled, but I like airlines that offer advance seat assignments and first class cabins for upgrades or to fly in if I have enough money to buy the ticket. I like to earn miles for upgrades or to fly to other countries. Call me a first class prima donna, but I hate traveling the flying bus with backpackers and students and a variety of non-business travelers.
I've tried to fly Ryanair. But I just don't feel comfortable wearing a suit packed into a plane full of chatty students or vacationers. After a flight wedged in a middle seat from Milan (actually Bergamo Orio al Serio airport away some 40 km form Milan dowtown) to Frankfurt (actually Hahn away some 140 km from Frankfurt downtown), I decided that was going to be my first and last Ryanair experience.
I am amazed at the number of people who do fly Ryanair, and fly them regularly.
The Ryanair ads are not clear as just state in bold letters “we fly from Milan, London, Frankfurt, etc”, then there are small remarks and if you have a good sight or spectacles you can read the real name of the airport that is there far from the main city Ryanair claims to fly out/in.
If your flight is cancelled you must buy a new ticket and ask for refund that takes, according to some friends witness more than 8 weeks.
