Film inspired by NANAVATI case of 1959 which remains as inherently fascinated story Naval Commander Kawas Manekshaw Nanavati shoots his wife Sylvia's lover Prem Ahuja in cold blood and then proceeds to surrender the ensuing trial to determine whether it was a crime of passion or premeditated murder receives unprecedented media coverage there is the parsi's and sindhi's against each other and results in a shocking jury verdict subsequently overturned by higher courts at last all of that drama is reduced to a farce in RUSTOM is about as enjoyable as a toothache . Script has taken several liberties . Akshay Kumar who plays Rustom Pavri a parsi which is based on NANAVATI has shown his mark of actor again . Ileana is good in supporting . Esha gupta as always with a single stock expression . A must watch for Akshay fans .
