I owns a Dezire Ldi car which has completed 14 months. As per suggestion from my Maruti ASC, I have taken Royal Sunderam insurance for my car at the end of 12 months by paying whatever list price they have quoted excluding NCB.
Last week while parking my car met with an accident and quarter plate and driver side door got scratches and dents. I had sent the car to ASC for repair. RS surveyor called me yesterday and updated me that they can approve only one claim which is door dent repair. He is not ready to approve quarter plate dent and painting. When I had an heated argument, he was telling me while going for RS insurance, I should have read the terms and conditions.
Also he told me that he had taken the photograph of damages in my car and RS will not approve any claims on these damages in the future. I straight away refused his approval of one claim and I told him I want to escalate the issue further. After 30 min of argument, he said he is not approving any claims and he will consult with his senior after showing the photo graph and take a final call. But when I checked with ASC, I come to know that this surveyor has given go ahead to them to repair door dent only. So now I have to shell out another 6K from my pocket to get the damaged items repaired.
I felt I am cheated on my decision to go with Royal Sunderam for vehicle insurance even though I was getting better deal with another insurance provider.
So my humble request to all vehicle owners that never ever think of having Royal Sunderam insurance. There are other providers who will give better service than this unprofessional unethical organization.
