2 families had been to the Royal Goan Beach resort during the May Day 09. We were on a "promotional package" or should I call it a “torture package”… the stay there was pleasant till the 2nd day evening (Saturday May 2nd).. that is when the torture started…
The hotel staff Mansoor, Amanda and Shalini each took turns to call our rooms and tell us that we need to attend a presentation the next day at 3 PM, they made nearly 10 calls randomly between our and the other family’s rooms, just to inform us about a presentation. The sat 2nd May, the day arrived little did we know that the presentation was not at the same hotel… they expected us to travel to another location Hathi Mahal its abt an hour away in the mid summer heat of Goa in a non AC bus… we were not prepared to travel at that time, wondering abt the heats and its effect on us and the kids.
We informed the staff that we can’t join them. Then onwards we saw the ugliest treatment that I have ever seen in my life. We were not only shouted at for not making it to the presentation, they told “this is not a charity org and we are not offering packages on charity” they called us every 5 mins post 3 PM and disturbed us endlessly, did not allow us to have lunch at peace even after telling them that we are having our lunch, the staff cares less abt their customers than abt themselves and their roles.. so the next time u or anyone wants visit Goa make sure u don’t land up staying at Royal Goan Beach Club. These people don’t know what service is and how to deal with their guests. dont go here even by mistake!
