After much market survey in search of a ( once in a lifetime bike) i went for a thunderbird twinspark which was one of the worst decisiion of my life, well heres how it goes -

My 1st problem: 9000kms / while turning the handle right suddenly pick up increased and back to normal whn straight..mechanics said it was a faulty wire beneth the tank..fixed it

Shock of my life: 9500kms / one afternoon suddenly bike self start started giving that starting sound..followed by smoke beneth the seat..mechanics said self starter problem, discorded the self and happy with the kick start.

Feel of pyramid construction: 10, 120kms / 12kms from my home and 10kms from garage on my way to ofice...it stopped and simply wont start..after struggling for 20mins didnt start and it was a highway.......i had to push that heavy metal junk in this scroching heat back to 10kms to my garage , and after a 1 day in the mechanics..it was again a faulty wire...fixed..(well, i felt ill for 2 days)

Wrath of a turtle: 11, 490 / 2.5kms from garage again on th highway came across a bump..and it stopped....same issue, thank god my garage was not far so, the mechanic came and examined well it was a cdi problem.....and temporarely fixed it....and off i rode after 5 mins of riding in 40km per hr..it stopped again, now i was 15kms far..called mechanic said not to take the bike more thn 10km...i thought he was making fun of me....so i disobeyed and suffered again..and again..finally 25km moreto my office in 10km per hr speed..what a shame (imagine the guys who were passing by).

Wrong decision good decision: 12, 000kms/ finally changed my mechanic to a much more experienced, he checked the cdi the wiring the engine.......and said cdi / engine was perfect, but, better change the wiring...so i did...and while riding at times i could feel that at certain speed (55 - 60km)it was giving that previous tendency of.....stopping.....!!

Good decision taken: 12500kms / finally thinking of the risk nd feel of unreliablity 1 night i finally decided to sell it....next day took it to the service station, washed, checked wiring, battery carburretor, tires and evrything and finally handed the key to its new owner. Spooky: the new owner after a few call up and said the bike has stopped and wont start...plz suggest

Now, where was my fault my friends...see i never drove it above 60kms (105km only once), top up evry 2000kms (with motul 15w50), carburettor clean evry 500kms, every month servicing..though i never got that royal feel no thump feels like a heavy metal junk... What an experience form a reputed company like royal enfiled...and u guys call it a "legend"..!!Come and see my zmr

What i would suggest is brother dont go for it..its just a waste of money , time and evrything...i was also suggested by many of my friends but, i didnt listen...now see my condition...!

Very bad product from royal enfield.
