Hello Team,


I wanted to buy a bike which I can rely on while coming back from office in night shift which is about 60kms from my residence(office - Noida, Residence - Gurgaon) hence I purchased'Desert Storm - Classic - 500' on 13th August 2017 from Manzil Motors Gurgaon. My purchase experience was superb.


Then the story started


I got the first service done at 400+ kms(well within limit) to ensure it remains in best shape.


put no unauthorized accesories to make sure it remains in best health.


But then after 900 kms on one beautiful day( 4th Sep, 2017) in the middle of road at 50+ speed its battery charging mechanism failed. It halted in the middle of road therby endangering my life as vehicles coming from behind were not ready for it.


I pulled it with other people's help, returned home and raised a complaint with RSA team. A techinician visited and confirmed that it could not be fixed at location as it won't charge the battery. So, the vehicle was towed to mazil motors on tuesday.


They kept it for 3 days, checked every possible component, replaced faulty charger and charged the battery before handing over the vehicle to me.


It again failed on same day same issue in the middle of road again at bhikaji place in delhi(Luck saved me again from traffic coming behind).


again raised an issue with RSA team, it was again towed at 11:30pm to mahipalpur.


Team still workin on it.


On further discussion, I was told by the techinician that this is a known issue in BS-IV 500cc royal enfields which has been aired on internet by other customers also.


This is my 4th bike, the most expensive and the most unreliable(previous bikes being 1. Kinetic Velocity, 2. Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTSI, 3. Yamaha Crux). The last 2 are still running fine in family.


I did not spend 2lakhs to get stranded in unsafe places, looted or killed by traffice on road.


Your bike is faulty to the core. For example its headlight glows even with fuze removed.


Selling bikes with known issues is like purposefully risking lives of riders trusting your product.


The reliability I expected from Enfield is not that I see in the instant bike and I can't rely on it for ride in future after getting the same horrendous experience twice


and I am not a lab testing-material for things to be tested on me again and again.


I won't pick the bike from service center now.


New bike is new bike - re-re-re repaired bike is not new bike.


I won't be in the world to tell what happened if it does it again and luck not there to help me.
