I have booked the Classic 350 after 3 months research of reading the internet & test driving almost every other 150cc bike. Finally decided to book classic 350 in last December. The bullet has just arrived, last week.
My first impression (Sep 2013):
1) It provides a very very smooth ride.
2) Gear shift is almost butter smooth.
3) Reduced vibrations around 30 to 40 kmpl.
4) Very stable.
5) Excellent shock absorbers (I drove 3 km in on one of the worst roads in Chennai, but felt very smooth, but earlier bike gives me nightmare on that road).
I am mentioning the above points, because before riding the vehicle, I understand these are the negative points in the classic 350. But I could see that Royal Enfield has listed to the riders and fixed / trying to fix those issues. I also consulted with a RE mechanic, he mentioned that RE has added additional equipment to make the gear shift smooth. Also started using advanced nuts/bolts which has magnetic power & rubberized to reduce the vibrations.
One more addition from the previous years bike is the horn. In the new bullet has two horn speakers, the old one has only one speaker. The horn noise is a killer, it will shock everyone on the road. One thing needed improvement is lot of open parts, I mean you the parts visible like a race bike, this is where Harley Davidson scores better.
Lot of chrome, even the side stand is complete is chrome, gives the royal effect. Great bike. I'll continue to update my review after few months.
