I recently purchased the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Model from Dhone Motors Pune. It almost took me 8 months to actually get the delivery. The long wait is a pain, however you are equally thrilled once you get the bike. I got my bike Last Month and was delighted to have Classic 350. The Manager at Dhone Motors was really courteous and he really had the delivery procedure smooth and easy.
I initially had Pulsar 150 Old Model and thought that its the best bike, however after riding Classic 350 you come to know the real difference. The first thing I added to my bike is a 3 pipe leg guard, Petrol lock and a pair of Roots Horn. I was planning to change the Silencer as well, but decided to go with the original one initially.
Its almost a Month that I am using this bike and really falling in love with it. The best part of the bike is its energy. You always feel that you are not utilizing its full potential. This bike does not have the THUMP like the Old ones, but the ride seems to be smooth. People look at you in such a way that you really feel that having this bike is an Asset to your personality.
I am not a specifications type of a guy, so I will not go into the details of it. I am a rider and that is what matters me the most. I read a lot of reviews where people say ill about Royal Enfield. Talk about the lot of maintenance, oil leakage and rust of the bike. Many Owners mentioned that its a waste of Money and the bike did not live up to their expectations. I may not be the right person to question their judgement or I am not the owner of Royal Enfield.
I would only like to tell them is "NOBODY IS PERFECT!". Everybody love their girlfriends and say that she is perfect (regardless of the flaws present) and feel that they are made for each other. But only a third person will know the reality. So how do you expect the bike to be perfect. You feel the bike perfect only if you love it regardless of its flaws. I do not deny the facts of Oil leakage or Iron Rust, its just that you fix it and live with it. at the end of the day what is more important worrying about the leakage OR enjoying the ride.
Just for the Information, I have not seen an advertisement of Royal Enfield in any of the TV Channels, Leading Newspapers or Hoardings, but still you need to wait for at least 8 months to have even the basic model of RE. Such is the Craze for the bike. Ask the real riders of RE to know the real love and passion for the bike.
Last but not the least. Its just one month with the bike and the Speedomete inner is already broken, there are many more disastors to happen and a long run to go. But let me assure you that I will not be cribbing on the issues that I have tackled, but will enjoy how I overcome them.
