I'am writing this review based on my experience with my bullet.It was in 2009 after completing my studies and working in UK.
I came back I was happy and thought of buying the a two wheeler for commuting in Bangalore City.I went to buy pulsar which was an trend in those days.
As soon I entered the bajaj showroom they were all busy no sales man approached me I did not bother as I had plenty of time after sitting in the lounge for a while I thought off going out to have some Tea while I was having my tea a guy came with a bull fully restored I asked him about the bike he told it belonged to his father who passed away 2 years before.
I changed my plan went to HS motors booked the bike they did not had ready stock.They promised me it will be delivered in 10 working days.I waited but after 10 days they came up with another excuse of 1 week.I lost the patience said some words and left I browsed the net for dealers then came technic motors Indranagar I called them do you have ready stock I'am ready to purchase for full cash they said yes Iwent and paid they gave me the Exhibit piece.I was HAPPY.The intial days were alittle bit hard the gears athe brakes did not catch up pretty well for me.
But I had issues intially the idling was not correct, gears do respond properly sometimes the engine would raise up and comes down automatically once on busy traffic the vehicle turned off I had to push it in the busy traffic pul it to side I was really anoyed I felt I did a bad choice>after this experience I thought of selling it I did not feel like going to dealer. before selling I called my brother in law who also owns a bull I told him all my experience he told me to have some patience He told me to bing it to kerala I He says there is an expert bull mechanic.
Like wise I took his advice and went to my native place and inspected by this expert he said it is the problem with tuning My brother in law told me to spend another 10000 k, then you think of selling it I agreed we wnt to bull expert the next day again and my brother in law took the talking part he told him tune up the engine increase the crank weight and buff the engine parts and check the gear box.
He said give me 2 weeks we said ok and left After 2week when I was eager to see what might have happened I was astonished The finishing of engine buff was fantastic It was shining like steel.He showed me the things he changed 1) OLd model crank 1950's model 2) cahnged the engine bearing he replaced it with tractor nachi bearing 3) second gear wheels were also replaced with new one.
He gave me all the replaced parts asked about the starting issue he said it is clear sir ANY ISSUE I will doit for free He also gave me the tips to start in morning hours 1) Keep the ignition off and pump the kicker 3-4 times apply choke if required only check the compression bring the kicker to half way down and gently kick do not apply acceralotor apply only after hearing the beat sound put choke only if kept for more than two days 2) After the vehivcle as run a little bit if you want to start check the decompreesion bring the kicker to half positon and no hands on accelatro After doing all this I did not find any starting issues also due to hogher crank weight I can go in 4th gear even at 30km speed I never took for any free service to the dealer only oil change at 2000 km The bull is epensive only on milege after increasing the crank weight I get only 25km - 30km Thats it Now'iam in'uk Iam thinking to take my bull later The vehicle is driven only 25000 kms It sometimes driven by my brother very occasionaly
