Since my childhood, I was ever fascinated by the sound of this roaring horse of steel. I come from a city where we have loads of Border Security Force riding this remarkable bike.
A decade and half later, in my college I was able to purchase a second hand bullet. Its origins are worth telling. I got it from an auction of army Bikes where I saw this little piece of scrap with a top class engine lying in a mangled state up for grabs!
I won the bid for 10000 rupees and put in another 10000 to take it to the Mobike Beauty Parlour hehe. After a month long wait, I was the proud owner of the Bullet.
Enfield has its won history, bike lovers, clubs, and members not only in India but also world wide, I will not get into that. I must mention I have a 1984 model which is far superior to current ones which have been made lighter and the shape of engine is no more appealing.
In the last 6 years that I have been with this bike, it’s been a honeymoon that never ends. Barring the fuel cost there is zilch maintenance and bike is not all fussy about the roads..be it kuchha or pukka Enfield rules!
Forgot to mention the myth about E-Bullet most people have that it is a very heavy bike, this is certainly a myth coz once you start it is as light as breeze. During my college days I was so so obsessed by this machine that I used to write slogans on the number plates and used to change it every weekend..Allow me to share few of them with you..
