The room on the roof Is a novel written by Ruskin Bond. It was Bond's first literary venture . The novel revolves around Rusty, an orphanated sixtenn-year-old Anglo Indian boy living In Dehra-dun. Due to his guardian, Mr Harrison's strict ways, he runs away from his home to live with his Indian friends. Ruskin Bond, the gold writer of this story with a good story base wrote this novel when he was a small then of the age of seventeen and had won the John Llewellyn Rhys Memorial Prize in 1957 . He is a good and dedicated writer and I think he liked to wrote stores on adventure and his passion is writing b9oks of whichs persistence has showed up good works he has written many books .


The main protaganist of the BOOK is a 16 year old Anglo- Indian . He ran from his house to India against Mr. John Harrison's wishes .
