Rocky Handsome is an upcoming 2016 Indian action thriller film directed by Nishikant Kamat. It features John Abraham and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles while Nishikant Kamat and Sharad Kelkar appear in crucial supporting roles. It is a loose adaptation of the 2010 Korean film The Man from Nowhere. John is co-producing this film under his home banner John Abraham Entertainment with Sunir Khetrapal’s Azure Entertainment. The film’s story revolves around a man who sets out to take vengeance against drug mafia after they take away an eight-year-old girl, with whom he shares a special bond.The theatrical trailer released on 4 March 2016 to positive reviews.

The music for Rocky Handsome has been composed by Sunny Bawra, Inder Bawra, Ankit Tiwari and Bombay Rockers while the lyrics are penned by Kumaar, Manoj Muntashir, Abhendra Kumar Upadhyay, Sachin Pathak, Sagar Lahauri and Shekhar Astitwa. The music rights have been acquired by T-Series. The first song "Rock Tha Party" was released on 15 February 2016. The full music album was released on 22 February 2016 which includes 6 songs.
Now Mirror has it that Rocky Handsome is an official remake of South Korea's highest grossing film of 2010, The Man From Nowhere. The stylised action-thriller follows the journey of a lone crusader, played by Won Bin, who goes on a murderous rampage against the drug mafia when the only person he cares for, a seven-year-old girl, is taken from him, along with her mother.
"It's a universal story and its USP is the emotional connect between the protagonist and the child. We bought the rights and took it to John who loved it, so did Nishi, " says Sunir Kheterpal, whose company, Azure Entertainment, is coproducing the film with John's JA Entertainment.
MUMBAI: Actor John Abraham released a new poster of his forthcoming film "Rocky Handsome".
The actor posted an image of his showing him all bruised with blood trickling down his face. He can be seen aiming a gun standing under a heavy rainfall.
The "Madras Cafe" actor will be seen in full action avatar in this project which has been helmed by Nishikant Kamat.
