Number crunching and achieving sales target is vital for many a organisation, but at what cost.  Does one need to bribe, falsify performance, make wrong committments on deadlines of installation, fleecing the customer on after sales etc.  These are the key questions which one would ask when one enters the sales profession.

Should one achieve their targets or bag the order by bribing the customer, particularly the purchase manager or GM of a customer.  I hated the very the idea of bribing to clinch an order and never trusted a junior or colleague who would brag that he can bag the order provided if we agree to bribe the decision maker.  A boss who fires his colleague or junior that he is useless, why don t you fetch the order by bribing the customer or giving him false hope on delivery schedule is worth not considering a boss.

When the boss fires his employee stating he is bastarde or son of a bitche, or he is Zero when he fails to fetch an order from a client.  He is not worth working for or it is better to quit the organisation.  ( A true Boss is one who guides his junior how to achieve or clinch the order in the right manner.  By imparting product knowledge, USP of product or service, sincerity and committment )   It triggers an idea in the hero's mind that he will not quit a hard earned job.  But he will form his own company.Rocket Sales Corporation and try to fetch orders in an ethical manner, without bribing, ensuring prompt service etc  He will sell the product with reasonable profit margin, ensure after sales service on holidays and night times too, so that there is no break down in clients business.

If one can render service by charging reasonable profit or maintainence which customer would not like to place an order.  Particularly in a product like a computer, after sales service is the key element.  Many companies are happy to pocket the AMC but rarely render prompt service.  Rocket Singh - The best salesmen is the very essence of ethical business practise, which is rarely propounded in business schools in present times or rarely practised in corporate circles.

The film hardly has any song or heroine worth talking about.  In a storyline like Rocket Singh heroine becomes superficial I suppose.  Whatever limited romance is seen is quickfire.  The storyline moves smoothly, and the dialouge is well written.  The sequence of the events are funny and quite gripping.  It is one my favourite subject, I would give full credit to the director for doing justice to the moral part of it.

But I would not like to agree with the philosophy that means will justify end.  I would beg to differ with the director if one has an ethical idea, one should quit the organisation with his colleague, rather than try to work in the company and try to snatch away the clients, that is where I would differ in treatment.  I would have preferred the Hero quitting along with colleagues and forming his own company and winning over clients or customers.  Does it sound like Infosys, I have a sneaking suspicion Lol.

Apart from the above aberration, the background score, acting of Ranbir, so called romantic pair daughter of Sharon prabhakar has given excellent performance for a debutant, other actors too have done justice to their respective role.  Without giving away much I would recommend this movie is worth watching for all those who are interested in sales and marketing.  It is sad such a good movie does not draw the crowd, is it sign of Kaliyug?

Key Moments:

Gauhar giving a tip for bagging the first Order.

Offer of Partnership to a Peon( Mukesh Bhatt) by Ranbir

Bagging of order based on performance from DHL Boss by Ranbir

Refusal of Bribe, and the client walks out stating that AYS boss has become outdated
