just trying to write here the some reviews of Rocket singh
Salesman-
the word salesman or saleswoman describes the people who are marketing any product till the house of customer, there is nothing wrong with word salesman, because person like sachin tendulkar and hrithik roshan or person coming to your door steps all are salesman, just a difference is the way of convenincing you about their products...
Rocket singh, salesman of the year...
because of the tag given of salesman to this movie, I thougth this movie should be really inspiring or some struggling story. so after going through the movie, here are my brief story details on it.
Harpeet singh Bedi passes Mumbai university Commerce graduation exam with approx 38 percent marks and because he think himself not eligible to try for cat and because of his low economic background, he goes for job of salesman.
searching from advertisement and others he gives interview for a salesman and gets select in a company selling and servicing computers. but because of his honesty nature and some other good qualities he gets in trouble and he is underistimated as well as ignored by all his fellowman. company head thinks him as zero and through him, he fires on other sales executive which leads to double of his sales, still he shows his pitiness to harpeet singh.
but one day when he gets a computer order for heroine of movie Shazahn. His company had no such product of her demand, so to help her he buys from outside and sells 2 computer to her. FOr this he takes the help of his one of the office worker. Later harpeet plans to make his own computer distribute company "Rocket corporation" and shares the plan with his friend who knows the job of assembling the computer. as per their need they add other three partners, receptionist, chai wala and sales leader to work equally in his company.
Because of their better policy, rocket corporation takes a good market and attracts customer. but when it is known by their current boss, harpeet singh sells the company at almost no price and starts his normal life.....
so, what happens at the end, you can see if you wish to go for the movie....
Salesman movie
Rocket singh, this movie looks like of salesman movie when Harpeet singh goes for a job, but, the movie is not so much about the ground level sales man. Specially in a company, when they offer a huge target which looks like impossible, sales people who are linked with customer goes for explaination of scheme which is more than the actual scheme, and they land on various problems. so the movie also shows the the company policies and company rules about the service they give and they make late to people. It shows the reason lacking behind good sales, and harpeet singh company had try to give the better one in low rate keeping customers in mind.. so more than the sales man movie, it can be said as movie of the entire sales from ground level to level of director level.
it would have been better if they had showed more about field executive people and the problems they get in their proffessional life..
Movie a perfect movie?
If you really want to watch this movie for some entertainment, you can watch it, but what I felt is that this movie lacked so many qualities for a good movie....
music lacking?
yeah, the songs present in movie are not so bad at all, but still a best music lacks in this movie and perhaps the number of song are so less. so because song are already less, forget about varity in songs.
Romance lacking?
yeah we know that we cant expect actions and some thrillers in this movie, but I was not aware that romance should also not be expected. Chemistry between hero and heroine is lacking in this movie (expect that two kiss scene), and in the 150 hour minute movie, they are hardly with each other for 15 minutes. so, I can say, this is also not a love story movie and please dont go for movie hoping to see any chemistry between hero and heroine
Then comedy movie?
perhaps, we can say this as somehow comedy movie, but still please don't expect any high class comedy here. Harpeet singh is trying to make people laugh in his own style, but sometime there is a continuous more than 5 minutes conversation between 2 people which made me feel as if I am there attending some lecture seminar. why don't they show the same things in filmy way?
End of movie-
first half has some comedy, second half has some comedy with some good events, but at even the end of movie, there is no such excitements or something greater twist which can make the movie memorable one....
the one dialogue that is said about the sales people in movie is
risk to spider man bhi leta hai,
mai to sales man hoo.....
who is lacking here?
Director shimit amin and writer Jaideep sahni are although the part of hit movie chak de india, but good direction for a movie and good script lacking was clearly visible... the concept is accpetable, but I think the strong enough story would have made the movie much better..
Ranbir kapoor has done a very good job, and some other characters have done to their best, so we cannt blame the artist for the movie failure (if it happened to occur). new debuntant shazhan is not given a chance to prove her acting in her debut movie, still her acting cant be ignored in this movie
My rating- 2 out of 5
the recommend of 'NO' is just my personal feeling on this movie,
if you want to go, go for it, but dont go with any huge expectation of super class movie..
for me, Among 4 movies I have gone to watch in theatre since I arrived in Mumbai, I feel I will regret of this one the most...
