Its like you wait and wait for a real rockin movie for a long time.....And finally it arrives. And whats more, it matches your expectations, even betters it. Thats Rock On Guys!!!

*A story about a group of friends, who get back together after many years, to relive their "Best days of my Life" times.

*There are all the different kinds. Theres Aditya (Farhan), the quintessential winner, who succeeds at whatever he does, now a very succesful banker with loads of money, and a good wife. Theres Rob(Kenny), doing small time music composition for music directors. KD (Purab), running his dad's business. And Joe (Rampal), the highly talented but sore with the world guitarist, who wouldnt play roadside music, and wants to do some real stuff, which means he does nothing most of the time.

The story is all about how they were a band sometime back, their brief success, their breakup, then their get together, and that final magical performance. How a chance meeting between Aditya's wife and KD set in motion a series of events leading to their reunion and a good final performance.

There are beautiful moments in the movie. The dreams of college guys souring and tempered when they get into the harsh real world outside is shown beautifully, in the case of Joe and Debbie, his college sweetheart come wannabe fashion designer, who ends up running Joe's family fish business. Joe attacking the Scorpion, s rocker on his teasing Adi, the strong college friendship. The DCH style fun trip by the group. The beautifully displayed transformation of the indulgent college sweetheart into the nagging wife. Joe's frustration during the making of the music video, where his song is first dropped and then the whole focus of the video is on Adi, wonderfully enacted by Arjun Rampal. The meeting between Adi's wife and erstwhile sweetheart. Joe giving a secure life chance a goodbye in the end (yet again), so that he can perform with his friends one last time.......

Tremendous performances from all the characters, Farhan the ever succesful guy, Rampal, the guitarist who believes he hasnt got his due, and has a perennial run of bad luck and is generally sad, Purab Kohli as the happy go lucky drummer, and Luke Kenny on the keyboard, the "silent" guy of the group, who wants to perform one last time with his group before his impending death. Shahana Goswami (guess thats her name), was tremendous as Debbie, and the other femmes also played their parts to perfection.

Superb songs, Hindi rock is alive and kicking. Socha hai has strange lyrics, but then so do many rock classics. Zehreeley has some funny lyrics too. But both are very listenable and hummable. Sinbad the Sailor rocks, telling the story of a man chasing his dreams in the face of hardships and taunts from the world (Essentially what any Indian rock group has to face). The soft songs are great sounding too.

Last but not least the on stage "live" performances, I think its Purab who rocks in Socha hai, but the best stage performance, by far, was by Luke Kenny in Sinbad The Sailor.  He really exudes the feel of a rock keyboarder. Superb Luke, hats off to that!!! Rampal would have looked a lot better as the guitarist, if he had used his left hand more, up and down the guitar, I guess most enthusiasts would have noted this.

All in all, one tremendous movie, one definite must watch!!!

At last, though everyone concerned came up with superb performances, can only imagine the kind of hit this movie would have been, with the DCH cast.

Comments, observations, criticisms, welcome.
