Sometimes in life your daughter will take you to a really nice restaurant. One that you hope to go back to one day. One that you just felt good when you were there. One where you really enjoyed the food. And one you know that you will want to take your sweetie to one day. That restaurant was Roadhouse Grill.
It’s a Family Place
When you walk in you will find a western theme and a bar of course. The staff also dresses the part of the western world. Which is really cool. The kids love it! The dining area is also very nice, not to crowded and a little dark, but not to bad. Really a nice setting. I was actually surprised.
My daughter had eaten with them several times, this was a first for me. Even my picky eater 16-year-old enjoyed it! They offer something for everyone in the family.
I mean you can get anything from Starters, which include: Fried Chicken Tenderloins, (to die for), Spinach, Potato Skins, Nachos, Chicken Wings (to die for), Cheese Wraps (which were not bad either) and a Roadhouse Sampler that has a little of all of the above. Ranging in prices from 4.59 up to 7.19 depending on which one you get.
The Roadhouse Salads are great too! They come filled with lots of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese and you can get Grilled Chicken Salad, Chicken Tenderloins, Steak or Caesar Salad. We saw some of these and just wanted to have one. These things were piled high! Ranging in prices from 7.59 to 799. You also can get a side salad and soup of the day. Form 2.99 to 3.69
There are also various side dishes from Baked Sweet Pie to Bake Potato, Mashed Potato, French Fries and Onion Rings. Don’t like any of those then you can choose from Sautéed Mushrooms, Sautéed Onions, or Baked Beans. Price range from 1.29 to 2.69, depending on what you order.
There are just so many wonderful things to choose from! You would have to eat there a lot to try them all! But, I had the Sirloin Combo, which was so very tender and so very good. It came with a 6 oz Mesquite grilled Sirloin Steak, with my choice of Catch of the Day, Grilled Chicken, Chicken Tenderloins (Traditional or Buffalo Style), Fried Shrimp or Santa Fe Shrimp. I chose the Grilled Chicken. I choose salad, Baked Beans and Yeast Rolls came with it. Peanuts too! Roasted!
Oh my gosh, this steak just melted in my mouth as did the chicken. I could have died and went to heaven right then and there and would have been happy! The salad and baked beans were great as well. The price was 13.49. Not bad at all.
My daughter had the same thing. My oldest daughter that is. My youngest daughter had the New York Strip, with French Fries and Baked Potato. She didn’t care for anything else. She doesn’t eat salad either. I tasted her steak against her will of course, and it was so very good. Melted in the mouth just like my own steak did! The price for hers was 15.79.
Other Stuff On The Menu
They do serve beverages such as: coffee, tea, and various sodas. You can also get beer, white wine, red wine or sparkling wine. What ever your thirst, they have it!
The desserts are simply some of the best you will ever have. There is the Messy Sundae, The Messy Brownie, Messy Apple Cobbler and they do mean messy. Or you can choose the Ice Cream or Lava Cake. Each one of us got something different.
I got the Brownie, April got the Apple Cobbler, and Erica got the Ice Cream. Now April and I tasted one another’s and Erica’s Ice Cream, but she would not taste ours. Her loss let me tell you! We had to bring some it home with us and eat later. From 1.79 to 4.99 depending on which one you get. What April and I got cost 2.79 and the Ice Cream was 1.79.
Some Little Known Facts
Swiss Steak isn’t Swiss. Russian dressing isn’t Russian. English Muffins aren’t English. Chop Suey isn’t Chinese. All of these food are American. So the “Little Known Facts” section on the menu says.
Did you know that during the 19th century that potatoes were served as a dessert, hot and salted in a napkin? Me either!
And did you know that ketchup poured from a bottle has an average speed of .003 miles per hour? That’s about 25 miles per year! Sounds about like my speed!
I thought you might enjoy some of those. I found them very interesting. And there are more on the back of the menu, so when you visit Roadhouse Grill be sure to read them all! See entertainment while you wait! Now that’s service!
How I Feel
Well I really liked this place. The prices were not to bad, but then again, if you are taking the entire family, be prepared for a large bill. But just one or two or even three of you, it’s not to bad. There was something on the menu for each of us and so much to choose from! I will certainly be going back someday and take my hubby with me. He will really like this place.
And the food, I can’t express enough about the taste. Just simply wonderful! The service was great, the atmosphere was great. Our food was to our liking and we had plenty to eat and drink.
I would certainly take my parents to this place. (Daddy would pay…Lol), but seriously, it is a good place to take the family, the spouse, the girl/boy friend, the co-worker on their birthday or just whom ever. Are you getting hungry? If so and you see a Roadhouse Grill or know where one is at in your area, stop on by and give them a try. You may be glad that you did.
