Well this is one serial which gives you a feel of the unusual which is lurking just beyond this world.
'Ripley's believe it or not' is one of the serials which portray facts that are not explainable by the scientific world.
About Ripley
RoBert L. Ripley has been associated with the extraordinary strange and the bizzare facts which he has discovered and recorded in the form of cartoons.
He used his unusual drawing capability to show the world what he discovered. He travelled all over the world and collected interesting information from the museums, etc. He drew all what he saw and they were published as cartoons.
In due course of time, many people who have experienced the extraordinary or know something of that kind started sending their letters to Ripley in the form of drawings
The Ripley collection includes 20,000 artifacts, 10,000 photos and more than 130,000 cartoon panels.
Believe it or not
This series shows Ripley's collection in the form of stories and some of what is shown is unbelievable but you have to believe it.
Like the African Fertility statues which led to a baby boom to whoever came near it.
Then there is the Mona Lisa and other paintings like Botecelli's Birth of Venus, etc..which have been made with (believe it or not !! ) bread toasts... by Tadahiko Ogawa of Kyoto, Japan.
The last episode showed an underground house which was
16,500 square feet with a swimming pool, hot tub, guest house and hand-painted murals.
Then there was this man who could shoot an arrow through anything perfectly and he reached the peak of his ability by shooting through an Aspirin tablet.
You might not have met a man who could create a very detailed painting within one minute.
Then there is this girl who is known to shoot a lightning bolt through her tongue...
You will also come across lot of other amazing and interesting facts which will leave you a little spooked sometimes.

1. Ripley drew all his cartoons upside-down.
2. Ripley received more mail than any other individual in history-more than 3,500 letters per day, over one million per year. During a Ripley's contest, he received more than 2.5 million letters in just two weeks.
3. Wayne Harbour of Bedford, Iowa, was obsessed with proving that Ripley was a liar. For 26 years, this postmaster wrote a letter a day challenging at least one of the claims in the daily cartoon. As of 1970, he had written 22,708 letters to people highlighted in the cartoon. He never received a single contradiction to the claims Ripley made. His letters are now part of the Ripley's collection.
4. Ripley visited 201 countries during his career, travelling a distance equal to 18 complete trips around the world.
5. Ripley owned one of the largest and most expensive collections of automobiles in the world, but he never learned to drive.
6. A memorial to Ripley stands in his hometown of Santa Rosa, California , in a church built entirely from one redwood tree.
