Read this book few months back and can't stop suggesting it to my friends.Had read few books earlier by Indian authors and picked up this book as the author was new, her first book and more important I found the index quite interesting.
The story begins as - Nandini is introduced as a young, bubbly girl, whose world is brimming with interesting work, great friends and loving parents. But, in a while, it becomes evident that all is not well with her life. Despite all her liveliness, there is a dark secret of her past looming around.
She has suffered a heart-break in not-so-distant past and still feels guilty about leaving her boyfriend in an unjustified way. So our leading lady Nandini, hears a news that her company is going to be owned by someone else and a new boss is going to take over. She's is not happy with this. So the man in question is Amit Sarin, makes an entry as the new boss, and our girl is quite shocked to see him as he was her boyfriend.He is tall, dark, handsome, wealthy all that a girl wants.
Amit wants to take revenge so he makes Nandini's life a living hell.He starts to give more work to her make her work late and always spoils her plans. Amit and Nandini are neighbours and family friends.Amit had gone to US for further studies.when he came back he liked Nandini who was simple, arrogant and sweet. Nandini didn't like Amit because of his rude behavior and arrogance.Slowly their fights turned into friendship and later love.Amit goes back to US again to resume his studies.
But the twist appears, Amit father's suffers a heart attack and dies.Amit's family has few financial problems which he is unaware of.He is in US when he hears about his fathers demise.In the meantime Amit's mom is aware about their relationship but tell Nandini to break it of due to some reasons. When Amit comes back he is shocked to know that Nandini has left in him when he needs her the most.But without knowing the real reason he starts hating her.
Now, back from the past, Amit has come witha plan to destroy Nandini. will he be able to destroy her?or will they rekindle their love again? will they part their ways again?
