Revlon revs up the shine

Ease of Use:

I have been using Revlon Outrageous Conditioner for Dry Hair for close to three years now. It claims to give permed or colour treated hair knock out body and shine as it works deep within the hair shaft to moisturize and repair depleted hair and dry, split ends.

Containing rich moisturizers, silk proteins and shine boosters, this rich, creamy product does in fact deliver on its promises. Normally I use it with the companion Outrageous Shampoo for dry hair, and the combination leaves my hair incredibly soft and shiny. If your hair has been processed by perms or dyes, you know that it can leave your hair dull and difficult to manage, especially as time goes on and hair is subjected to repeated uses of harsh chemicals.

Unlike other conditioners I have tried, Revlon Outrageous feels extra thick and creamy, flowing beautifully through wet hair, clinging to every strand and leaving behind a dewey softness that is immediately evident. Other conditioners seem to rinse completely away, taking all their benefits with them. The fragrance is gentle and slightly sweet, more reminiscent of a perfume than a fruity smell, but it is not intrusive and rather pleasant.

The product comes in a 400 ml plastic bottle with a sturdy flip top that stands up to constant use, and protects the conditioner from becoming contaminated with water in the shower. To use this conditioner, simply apply a small dollop after shampooing. I work it straight through to the ends of my hair where the greatest amount of damage is evident. Leave it on for atleast a minute before rinsing to allow the moisturizers to penetrate the hair shaft.

The conditioner rinses easily, and hair is left moisturized and tangle free. You will not have that ''squeaky clean'' feeling which indicates that hair has been stripped of too much moisture. The results stand up beautifully to blow drying and curling irons. My hair is soft to the touch, shiny, and smoother with far less dry ends and those annoying fly aways.

The only downside to this conditioner is that it leaves a slight build up with continued use, and I find it necessary to switch to another brand every few months. This happens to the best of products and switching temporarily to another gentle brand such as Clairol Herbal Essences or Neutrogena should eliminate this problem. It would also be helpful if Revlon listed the ingredients on the packaging, but this is lacking, and could be a concern to anyone with allergies.

But overall, I highly recommend Revlon Outrageous Conditioner for Dry Hair. It is a fabulous product that actually keeps its promises, and that in itself is outrageous.
